We’re Omar and Mike, the co-founders of Shower Pouch, and our journey began with deeply personal challenges that ultimately shaped our mission to bring comfort and dignity to those in need of accessible hygiene. In 2012, while I was working with J&J in personal care, my father was deployed to Afghanistan. He shared stories about the everyday hardships he and his fellow servicemen and servicewomen faced, relying on small baby wipes to maintain a sense of cleanliness in such tough conditions. It was a need that resonated deeply with me.

Around the same time, Omar was facing a challenge close to his heart as well. While caring for his mother in hospice, he saw firsthand how limited the options were for a gentle, effective clean when a full shower wasn’t possible. The experience stayed with him, driving home how essential it is for everyone to feel cared for, even in the smallest ways.

Inspired by these experiences, Omar and I joined forces in 2015 with a vision: to create a body wipe that could deliver a real sense of cleanliness, comfort, and care when showers simply aren’t accessible. After over a year of research and development, Shower Pouch launched in 2016, setting out to provide more than just a wipe, but a truly refreshing, large-format (2' x 1') body wipe that can be heated for a warm, soothing clean. With its washable and reusable design, our body wipe reflects a commitment to sustainability, echoing the same way you might reach for a well-loved coffee mug. With a single wipe, it’s large enough to leave anyone feeling fresh from head to toe.

At the heart of Shower Pouch is a simple, powerful goal: to offer innovative, pocket-sized hygiene solutions that honor the needs of outdoor adventurers, caregivers, and anyone in between who values the power of a fresh start, wherever they are.
